Meeting secretly at a hotel once a week, a man and a woman are soon forced to make a decision that will change their lives forever.

Anticipating eviction from her retirement home after the death of her son and sole provider, rebellious septuagenarian Émilie decides to take revenge on all those who have wronged her. During her journey of initiation, she cuts to the quick to right the wrongs and is joined by Linda, a cleaning lady with whom she has forged a close bond. She, too, has nothing left to lose and decides to wage war against those who have scorned her. Soon, these two companions are hunted down by a pair of policemen.

In a sterile white examination room, a young woman is asked by a doctor to undress completely. An exhaustive examination of the protagonist’s skin begins during which every centimetre, the palm of her hand, the sole of her foot, the back and also the genital area are closely scrutinised. The doctor meticulously probes every nook and cranny of the young woman’s outer shell until she is able to identify a suspicious birthmark. A timely appointment to remove the mole is made. 　　Exposed and irritated, the protagonist finds herself confronted with her fears about the surgery and the after-effects of the examination. A tiny birthmark triggers an inner process: an analysis of her own body and the control others are allowed over it. John and Ben are assisted in their illegal business by Louise (Claudia Karvan), a lawyer with a cocaine problem who is also John's lover. But when Louise becomes involved with Ben and demands a bigger share of the money, their already-shaky confidence game begins to collapse.

A surreal take on transitioning from 20-something to 30-something centering on a married couple juggling such everyday challenges as parenthood, friendship, ham theft, stripper clowns and choosing the right day care.
